#SavvyGirlStrong 4 Week Challenge

Girl…I’ve been there!

I know how hard it is to find a solution that is more than just a quick fix or short term diet. Over the years I’ve tried so many things. You name it, I’ve probably tried it! And if you’re anything like me, you probably have too!

I’ve been using a system of fitness, nutrition, support and rewards for over 15 years and if it has worked for me for this long…I KNOW it can work for you too! I’ve found that there are 3 key things that are essential for living a long term, healthy lifestyle!

Following a healthy eating and fitness program, drinking lots of water, engaging in personal growth and surrounding myself with a likeminded community are what helped me after having my 2nd daughter and what I still believe is key to success today!!

Sometimes though…life happens and we fall off track.  Like I did back in 2019.  I started 2020, not feeling my best. (picture below on left)  But I dialed back into the 3 key things from the video above and am back on track!!

This is me at the start of 2020 and now. I had let the holidays get a little out of control with my eating.

But here’s the thing…you HAVE to be willing to invest in YOURSELF. You know, put on your oxygen mask before helping others!

Why…because YOU are WORTH it!

Earlier this year I completed 75 days of an extremely challenging program.  I decided to do it because the components of the challenge were things that I already believed to be effective but that I hadn’t been consistent with doing on a daily basis!  It was HARD…but I completed it.  (google 75Hard if you’re curious about it)

While I believe it’s a great program, the reality is that it’s not for everyone. Even the creator of the program (Andy Frisella) said that only a small percentage of people will attempt his program and even a smaller percentage will complete it.

Which gave me an idea!

I wanted to create something that ANYONE could do, that wasn’t as strict but that also would challenge you. And in full transparency, I wanted something I could follow to keep myself accountable to the things that I felt were most important!

Introducing the #SavvyGirlStrong 4 week challenge!

The 6 daily commitments of the challenge are:

  • Workout an hour a day
  • Follow a nutrition program
  • Drink a Gallon of water
  • Read or listen to 10 pages of a self development book
  • Take a progress picture a day
  • No alcohol or treats.

Its not always going to be easy!  There may be days when you don’t feel like working out or eating healthy and its ok.  I get it!  I want you to know that going into this, not every day is going to be sunshine and butterflies!  You may stumble and even fall..believe me, we all do.  The most important thing to remember though is you have to GET BACK UP! This journey is not about how many times you fall…its about ALWAYS getting back UP and continuing your journey!  And I will be here to help you!

And that my friend is what being #SavvyGirlStrong is all about…having the practical knowledge of what it takes to live a healthy and balanced life and taking action EVERY DAY to become stronger in mind and body!!  Its not about perfection…its about progress!
